Holistic Sleep Support for Babies & Children
Is Your Child Keeping you up all night?
You’re exhausted.
Not the kind of tired a nap can fix—but the bone-deep, foggy, emotional exhaustion that comes from night after night of broken sleep. You lie there listening, waiting… for the next cry, the next wake-up, the next round of rocking, feeding, pacing, and pleading for your baby to just settle.
You have what you think is the right routine, you have white noise, you know the wake windows, and you have the apps. You have tried implementing advice from friends, Google, and well-meaning experts who all seem to say something different.
And yet, here you are—awake at 2am, then 4am, then 5:30am—wondering why your baby won’t sleep, and what you’re doing wrong.
During the day, you’re running on empty, trying to function, trying to be present, trying to enjoy this time… but the exhaustion steals the joy. The overwhelm creeps in. Even the smallest things can feel like too much.
And then because your baby didn’t sleep well at night, they are irritable all day, constantly crying, and not napping when they should be napping, which throws your lovely routine out the window and sets you up for another night of broken sleep. The cycle continues and you start to question everything,
BUT…
There isn’t anything wrong with you, and (apart from a medical diagnosis) there isn’t anything wrong with your baby.
We just need to find a way to support your baby and you through this time by understanding their nervous system, their development and their unique needs. What works for you may be completely different to what works for all your friends, or what Instagram says.
When you support sleep in a way that actually works with your baby—not against them—everything can begin to fall into place, and you truly begin to love this time.
Our Holistic Sleep Support Consultations Help Achieve restorative sleep for the whole household
We support parents of children aged 3 weeks through to 5 years who are experiencing any kind of sleep challenges.
For newborns, our focus is on gently guiding parents through settling strategies and helping them understand their baby and build strong, healthy sleep foundations from the very beginning. This is not about sleep training. Instead, it’s about creating positive sleep associations and habits early on, so things don’t become more difficult down the track.
From the ages of 3months through until 5 years, the sleep challenges can be greatly varied. Depending on the aim, the child and the parents, the strategy we take can be vastly different, but always with the awareness that we are doing what is best for both the mother and the child.
For children over 5, sleep concerns often become more complex, blending sleep consulting with a naturopathic approach depending on the situation.
Areas we help with
For every family we work with, safe sleep is a priority. We always consider safe sleep guidelines and look for ways to optimise safety in your unique situation. If you choose to co-sleep—or find yourself doing so unintentionally—we’ll explore how to make that as safe as possible too.
Every family’s goals are different. Some parents may want to move toward independent sleep, while others wish to continue bed-sharing and simply improve sleep for everyone involved.
No matter the path, the shared goal is the same: better, more restorative sleep for the whole household.
Holistic Sleep Support Package
Hopefully we'll put you (and your child) to sleep!
We take a holistic approach to your child’s sleep. We’ll look at wake windows to ensure your child is getting enough rest, and we’ll shape nap schedules to support better daytime sleep—because great day sleep leads to better nights.
We’ll also explore soothing and settling techniques, along with nutrition, breastfeeding or formula feeding, and the introduction of solids, all of which play a role in your child’s growth, development, and sleep quality.
Most importantly, our aim is for you to feel completely supported throughout this process. We begin by asking lots of questions so we can truly understand your situation.
From there, we create a personalised plan together—one that feels right and achievable for you. Then, we’re by your side over the following weeks, helping you adjust and refine the plan as needed, until you feel confident and empowered to move forward on your own.
[This is sleep consulting—not sleep training. While sleep training can be part of the journey if that aligns with your goals, it’s not the only path, and it’s always your choice.]

Meet Georgie
NKD Team Senior Naturopath, Nutritionist & Sleep Consultant
Georgie leads our holistic sleep support consultations and is a seasoned Naturopath with over a decade of experience in the wellness industry, including the past 8 years dedicated to Naturopathy and functional medicine.
In her first year as a mother, her daughter Izzy was colicky, hard to settle, and rarely slept — which meant she rarely did either. When Izzy finally started sleeping through the night, her body remained in ‘survival mode’ and Georgie, unfortunately, stopped sleeping altogether.
Chronic anxiety and severe insomnia had taken hold, and it took her two LONG years before she could sleep without dread or panic again.
It was an experience that changed everything for her.
Sleep deprivation gave her not just empathy, but a lived understanding of what so many mothers go through behind closed doors — the exhaustion, the constant worry, the need to ‘push through,’ the feeling that your body and mind aren’t your own anymore.
